Help Celebrate East School's 80th Anniversary

The East School Anniversary Committee is working on plans to commemorate the school's 80th anniversary in Fall 2006.

We are compiling photographs, old textbooks, report cards, school certificates and other historical materials to be used in displays and other commemorative materials. We are also looking for former students, teachers and staff who would be willing to provide an oral history of their experience at East School. Reception to Celebrate East School’s 80th Anniversary

East School, in Long Beach, NY, will celebrate its 80th anniversary during a reception from 6 – 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2006 in the gymnasium of East School, 456 Neptune Blvd. All adult East School alumni are invited.

The evening will feature presentations by current and former students, as well as the dedication of the school’s new Entrance of Excellence and kindergarten playground. There will also be a preview of a specially produced movie, 80 Years of East, featuring East School alumni reminiscing about the school. Refreshments will be served.
